Description of rosa canina fruit oil

Rosa canina fruit oil (often called rosehip oil, dog rose oil, or dog rose) is an unscented, emollient vegetable oil that moisturizes the skin and provides beneficial fatty acids that soothe and strengthen the skin barrier.


Additionally, rosehip fruit is known to be a source of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and tocopherol (vitamin E), both of which offer many antioxidant benefits for the skin. Rosehip seed oil also contains antioxidants from the carotenoid and flavonoid groups.
