Description of coco-glucoside
Coco-glucoside is a non-drying fatty alcohol blend derived from coconut oil and glucose, a sugar. It functions primarily as a mild cleansing agent in cosmetics due to its ability to remove dirt and oils from the skin. It can be plant-derived (from coconuts) or manufactured synthetically.
In its raw form, coco-glucoside is a cloudy, viscous solution. It is a safe and non-irritating ingredient when used in cosmetics. It is typically used at concentrations up to 2% in leave-on products and 15% in rinse-off formulations.
